Survey results show that currently silk spinning machine, sewing machine and solar water pumps are demanded by the rural community for productive purpose. These productive appliances may be installed in houses, but the purpose is for business and income generation. Other productive appliances available in the market include rice huller, hammer mill, grain grinder, photocopy machine and honey processing plant. Due to the high power load, productive appliances are usually offered along with a DRE system. Most respondents offer solar water pumps followed by sewing machines and blacksmith blowers. These appliances are presently supplied by only one or two players in the market.
